Phillips Scaffolding Ltd

Domestic Scaffolding in Chichester, Storrington and the Surrounding South East Area

Phillips Scaffolding Ltd covers West Sussex and the surrounding East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent and Surrey borders. We have scaffold erectors with Part 1, Part 2 and Advanced CITB/SSSTS qualifications, all of whom hold CSCS cards so they can access commercial sites and work safely. It is our work in the domestic scaffolding sector that we discuss on this page. This is a service for local homeowners or for any contractors working on a residential build.

Individual areas covered by our scaffolders include Brighton, Chichester and Storrington, but we are by no means limited when it comes to reach.

Having started out in 1968, and with 160 years of experience in our team, we see domestic scaffolding as an essential addition to any residential project where there is work at height to complete. Scaffolding towers provide a safe working platform for our clients or their contractors, granting access into hard-to-reach areas for the purpose of maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and renovation. We deliver working solutions to protect people and the public.

Should you require domestic scaffolding services in the Brighton, Chichester or Storrington areas, or anywhere else in the South East region, we want to hear from you. Our scaffold erectors can construct mobile towers which you can reposition as the job progresses, or you can have a propping or shoring scaffold built to provide a property with structural support during a project.

All safety equipment including rubbish chutes, scaffolding sheets, debris nets, edge protection, handrails and alarms can be included in your package.

Will I need a permit?

It is unlikely you will need to apply for a permit because domestic scaffolding rarely encroaches onto pathways or roads. If it does, we will help to arrange a permit and will discuss this with you during our initial consultation.

Do you inspect scaffolding regularly?

Our scaffolders tag erected towers following a safety inspection and return to check stability every 7 days. We use Site Audit Pro to manage our visits. We will also come out to check scaffolding after heavy rain or strong winds.

Would a ladder be better for domestic work?

No. Domestic scaffolding has a base which sits flush to the floor to offer you a stable working platform. Ladders prop against walls and can move from under your feet unexpectedly. We believe that safety should be your priority.

Which areas do you cover?

The Brighton, Chichester and Storrington areas are important to our scaffold erectors, but we also cover the whole of West Sussex and extend our services across the surrounding East Sussex, Hampshire, Kent and Surrey borders.
